DISCLAIMER: Make sure to check the decals sheet often and regularly, to avoid anything other than the yellow carrierfilm to fade!! The window has to be free from condensation.. even the slightest will ruin the decals! It worked for me, but you have to try it at your own risk! A soft brush, prferrably flat.. and most likely 2 or 3 thin coats, depending on what paint you are using.. 
If it is Revell just be aware it dries quite quickly..
Yes, best way to use it is to apply it with some sort of spatula.. make sure it is properly dry before sanding, don’t do too much, it’s better to add some more if you still have a dent or a gap after the first lot.. and sand it down gently with some fine grade wet’n\'dry sandpaper..

Some things I thought I had come across myslef turned out to be common knowledge.. But most of my ‘skills’ I have picked up from other people.. that is the quickest way! But I like to share what I know and help other modellers when and if I can..

Excellent.. some do work quicker than others..
Giveit a go.. but some decals can be very brittle, and this is more a mean of removing the yellowness of old decals.. What you can do, however, is to give your decals a thin coat of a clear non-waterbased gloss varnish, on the sheet.. make usre it dries properly! That will hopefully keep the decals together… just make sure only to coat the decal though, and not too much of the paper around it, as it may have trouble coming off the sheet when dipped in water.. Above all, GO CAREFULLY!!
I remember in one of my modelling magazines.. or was it an aeroplane magazine?, they made a BIG thing about a museum in Berlin allowing swasticas on their planes.. I think it was a Me 163 or something! That was a while ago.. Models depicting a historical aircraft surely should be exempt from the rule, but obviously not.. Over here there’s no problem putting swasticas on the models, luckily..
Absolutely… I was worried the sun would make the decals brittle, but that seems not to be the case.. if they should be brittle, that would have happened anyway..

As for 30 years ago, that could well be true, as the decal sheet shown in this video (Heller Arado 196) is at least that old… It still baffles me that swasticas are banned from decal sheets overall, as it has nothing to do with the politics, but everything to do with building an accurate model.. I didn’t include a set for your Me 262 though, as I wasn’t sure what the law says and did not want you (or me) to get into trouble..
It works well, I’ve just had the decals from an old AH-1 TOW COBRA kit stuck in the window for a couple of weeks.. they’re as good as new!!!
