Kit Rating: 9 / 10 (Very good fit, but slightly over-engineered, a simpler solution to some parts would have made the assembly much easier) Decal Rating: 10 / 10 (Decals made by Cartograf, which means excellent colour and perfect register, and a more than excellent adhering to the model)
@lotnik172 I used a greyish green, I think, as per kit instructions.. Can’t remember the exact shade now.. 
@HeartGoldMVP In that case you better stay away from the Tamiya acrylics… worst smelling stuff I have ever used..
@RomanatorII Yes, but I still prefer enamels.. especially Humbrol..
@dangerousprimate Thank you.. it was a joy to build too! I have another one to build later, the ZVEZDA 1/72 kit, with the rear machinegun.. Had a good sort out in the wardrobe the other day, and the kit is easy to get to now! Just need to get the Drakens out the way.. and whatever else that takes my fanmcy after that. No point in planning anything, as I may well find something really good at Hendon, in which case that will probably take priority to get built after the show..
@HeartGoldMVP Thank you.. I personally prefer Humbrol enamel paints because they’re slow drying, easy to use and easy to remove and repaint.. I have never used Testors paints of any kind, so don’t know how they are to work with, but if and when I use acrylics, it’s normally Xtracrylics.. I tend to thin the paints quite a lot and do thin layers, but not sure if it works that way with acrylics..
It’s a nice kit, isn’t it?? Just beware the cockpit / wing fittings.. they can cause trouble!! I have the Zvezda kit of the 2-seater version as well, which I should hopefully get round to get built soon..

Thank you.. It’s one of the best kits I have built from Academy.. just as long as you go careful with the wing to cockpit assembly, it goes together really well..
I ALWAYS research as much as I possibly can, and I did do grey green, my friend.. maybe you should adjust the coloursettings on your screen?? Haven’t heard of many, if any, planes that use olive drab for the interior..
I did it freehand.. Unfortunately the painting instructions didn’t show the exact camo pattern for that plane, but I did it as the one they DID show.. so it should be fairly right!
